Privacy Policy
Engcraft, LLC provides Lexicon, an IELTS preparation app. This Privacy Policy explains what information Lexicon processes, why it is processed and when it is shared. By using Lexicon, you acknowledge the practices described here. We do not sell personal information or use Lexicon data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Information Collection and Use
Lexicon stores your study profile, practice history, answers, transcripts, writing, word progress and band estimates on your device so the app can provide its core features. Speaking recordings remain on your device and are not uploaded. To mark work with AI, Lexicon sends the text transcript of an interview or the text of an essay, together with the question or task, timing and basic writing or speaking metrics, to Engcraft’s server. The server passes this text to OpenAI to generate marking feedback. RevenueCat processes an anonymous app user identifier and purchase or entitlement information so subscriptions can be verified and restored. We use this information only to provide, secure and improve Lexicon.

Log Data
When Lexicon contacts our server, standard technical data such as IP address, request time, app version, operating-system version and error or security diagnostics may be processed to operate the service, prevent abuse and investigate failures. We do not use this information for advertising.
Cookies
The Lexicon iOS app does not use browser cookies. Third-party services used to deliver AI marking or subscription management may use their own technical identifiers as described in their privacy policies.
Service Providers
We use service providers only where needed to operate Lexicon: OpenAI processes the text submitted for AI marking, and RevenueCat processes subscription and entitlement data. These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer.
Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect information. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Lexicon may link to websites operated by third parties. Their content and privacy practices are outside Engcraft’s control, so please review their policies before providing information.
Children's Privacy
Lexicon is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. This policy is effective as of September 15, 2026.
